TRANSSHIPMENT

Generally most pets are allowed to be transshipped through Singapore Changi Airport but final approval will only be given based on full compliance of all requirements for transshipment.

Note:

If your pet's transit-time at the airport is less than 4 hours, it will be kept at the airport animal holding in its crate.  However for longer transit-time, your pet will be transferred to the government-run Changi Animal and Plant Quarantine (CAPQ) located within the premises of the airfreight centre, where it will stay in an air-conditioned room awaiting connecting flight to the next destination.  Daily quarantine/accommodation fee applies.

Requirements:

Veterinary health certificate and/or vaccination record

Veterinary health certificate and/or vaccination record for Rabies from the country of export (where you depart) is required for transshipment through Singapore.

Import permit from importing country (final destination)

A copy of an import permit from the final country of import must also be submitted for transshipment approval.  This requirement only applies to countries where import permit is issued such as for Hong Kong and Australia.

Application for transshipment permit

A transshipment permit from the Singapore Veterinary Authority is required for every shipment
